2008
Well it’s the start of a new calander year and things couldn’t be much worse at Deepdale. It’s almsot impossible to have envisiged such a fall in the past 12 months. But it has happened and we are here. You can’t change the past but we can at least hope we have learnt from it.
There will be no war chest for Alan Irvine to spend, no way of competing with the likes of Leicester, Norwich, QPR, etc when it comes to fighting over players. We need to bring some players in who will fight for pride of the shirt, or even just self pride.

And so we come to the current crop of players who have us rock bottom of the league. Have they given it their all as say, Blackpool (spit) have? On paper there is no one who would swap our squad for theirs, but the reason they will stay up this season is because of a tight knit team morale and a desire to work for one another. We do not have this. We have over-payed prima donnas.
I’m far too depressed at the moment to go any further, hopefully the next few days will bring us some brighter news. Keep the faith.
